I booked a Fantasmic! Dinner package at the Hollywood Brown Derby on our latest Disney World Trip. and it was WONDERFUL! Let me start with the basics.
Fantasmic! packages are available for lunch or dinner at Hollywood Studios and are available at the Hollywood Brown Derby, Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano, and the Hollywood & Vine. At the Hollywood Brown Derby, your package includes an appetizer, entrée, dessert, non-alcoholic beverage and a VIP Seating voucher. The cost is $56.99 for adults and $16.99 for children. At Mama Melrose’s, you get the same courses and voucher, but the cost is $37.99 for adults and $12.99 for children. At the Hollywood and Vine, your package includes the all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet and a VIP seating voucher.
Please be aware that you must reserve the specific Fantasmic! Package…not any reservation at these locations will get you the VIP Voucher.
So why is this so great? Well for those of you who have been to Fantasmic! you know that guests start to line up an hour or more in advance for this spectacular show. With your VIP seating pass, you can show up 30 minutes (or less) and have phenomenal center stage viewing. We showed up about 35 minutes prior and sat in the second row.
FastPass seating is to one side and general admission to the other, so even a FastPass won\’t get you these great seats! Be aware that the front 10 rows are in a splash zone!
Still not convinced? Fantasmic! lunch and dinner packages are included in your dining plan! For Plus Dining and higher, a table service credit (or two credits for the signature dining at the Hollywood Brown Derby) can be used.
Wait….did I say that right? Yes, your dining plan table service credit(s) can be used! So not only are you getting the best seats in the house for Fantasmic!, but, depending on your dining plan, you are also getting additional food because the plan includes an appetizer!
Of the three restaurants you can choose from, The Hollywood Brown Derby is my personal favorite.
It is a replica of the famous Brown Derby in Hollywood, California, complete with caricatures of Hollywood legends and cozy banquettes. It is elegant and upscale, but still Disney so your park attire is appropriate for dining.
Savor such specialties as pork tenderloin, seasonal grouper, grilled filet of beef with a white truffle and mushroom mashed potato, and the famous Brown Derby Cobb salad which follows the recipe created by Bob Cobb, owner of the historic California Brown Derby.
