Hi, I’m Melissa and I’ve been a Disney fan(atic) since 1994, when I visited for my honeymoon. Who knew that our trip would turn into a yearly event? I’ve been almost every year since and my kids have grown up with Mickey and Minnie in their lives. We always look forward to going back. I’ve stayed at hotels at every price level and can truly say I’ve enjoyed them all! Each one has those touches that make Disney the best vacation spot in the world.
My favorite resort is Saratoga Springs. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the rooms we stay in have a kitchen available so we don’t have to rush out the door in the morning for breakfast. They have a gym available for those who like to work off the Mickey snacks and ice cream. And if I want to indulge a bit there is a spa on the property for manicures, pedicures, massages and more! It is perfectly located within walking distance to Disney Springs.
I’ve been on Disney cruises and experienced the magic of being at sea with fireworks and parties. Their own island of Castaway Cay makes the perfect beach day with sun, swimming and games.
In 2014 I was able to celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary at Aulani in Hawaii. What a beautiful resort! It’s a Hawaiian resort with just enough Disney touches to make it familiar.
Some of my favorite times at Disney World have been when visiting with other adults. I’ve done several of the races in the runDisney series and plan on doing many more. I’ve planned girls’ weekends with friends and cousins to spend time wandering through EPCOT during the food and wine festival.
My family has recently discovered a challenge of riding all the rides, in all four parks, in one day. While we’ve tried unsuccessfully a couple of times, we’re on a mission to finally complete the challenge and check this off of our Disney bucket list.
I’d love to help you plan your first or next Disney vacation!
