Zorro, Davy Crockett, and the Wonderful World of Disney, I grew up watching the repeats of these shows as my Dad loved them when he was a kid. It is no exaggeration to say I have been to Disneyworld about 100 times. Living in Florida for 15 years (proud Florida State Alum) and with the wonderful Florida Resident pass of yesteryear (meaning a lot cheaper), we went quite often. I met my future wife, for our first date, at Downtown Disney. As our family grew, now living in Virginia, we made it a point to bring our kids to Disney every year. They may have been only 2 and 5 and not able to recall much, it was not for them we went, it was for us, to observe their first reactions to Mickey Mouse, Princess Jasmine, the Castle, and a host of other sights and experiences. Disney is not just for kids, it is for the family and I look at it as a life experience. We are avid travelers and take extensive month-long road trips to Montana, through Canada and soon to the Grand Canyon. We all always return to Disneyworld as that is our live action growth chart to see how much the kids have grown throughout the 100’s of photos from their 7 trips and counting to Disneyworld. We have experienced the International Food Festival, Star Wars Weekend, Flower and Garden Festival, the Holiday Party events and the Disney World Marathon weekend where I survived my first marathon and last year sailed on our first Disney Cruise. We have stayed at multiple resorts on property and can help guide you to what fits your needs best.
So for me, a vacation is a life experience. It is not about staying at the most luxurious resort or eating at the fanciest restaurant, it is how to find those little moments of hidden joy that last a lifetime.
