It’s a long way from the Colorado Rockies to...well....anything Disney.
So my childhood didn’t include much Disney travel...but that didn’t stop me from memorizing every Disney soundtrack or spontaneously breaking into “A Whole New World” whenever least appropriate. I’m thankful to now live nearer Disney World and have the privilege of visiting frequently with my husband - Tim, son - Riley, and daughter - Addyson.

We enjoy both quick and extended visits over all the seasons and that’s part of the magic of Disney - every season offers its own unique experiences. Our favorite trip ever was in November of 2016. After nibbling pumpkin pie our whole drive to Orlando, we arrived at the Coronado Springs Resort late at night on Thanksgiving Day. We strolled up to the door beneath a canopy of white poinsettia garland and twinkling lights and entered a lobby full of gorgeous Christmas trees....it was instantly Christmas! The next morning we strung our resort room windows with lights and decor, hung a wreath on our door, and decorated our minivan to look like something Clark Griswold would proudly drive. During our ten day stay, we took time to resort hop and look at Christmas trees, searched for hidden Mickeys in countless holiday resort displays, attended Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and enjoyed special bits of Disney Christmas magic at every turn. Christmas at Disney is its own season of magic.

As a family, we love the moderate resorts - specifically Coronado Springs and Port Orleans Riverside. To dine, we love visiting resorts and enjoying the immersive theming at restaurants like Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Resort. We also use dining to incorporate fun traditions on our trips - like always ending our trips with breakfast at Boma where we recount our favorite memories and stuff ourselves full for the drive home. As for attractions, our family faves include Thunder Mountain, Star Tours, Soarin’ and Fantasmic.

I would love to help your family create traditions and discover your favorites too! Contact me to get started planning your family’s magical trip.
